Description

當代爵士最具代表女性薩克斯風手，一開始是當代爵士名團 Maisha 的團員而受注目，專心在個人創作後 2020 發行的《Source》展現她對於爵士樂的願景，類似 Kamasi Washington 的爵士根源挖掘，再融合倫敦電子、嘻哈、雷鬼場景，闡述爵士樂乃至黑人文化的未來願景，這樣的手法獲得 Downbeat 等雜誌多方讚賞，而本專輯就是 Source 的混音專輯，混音陣容都是當今混音藝術的頂級製作人（如 DJ Harrison）、或是真軍演奏也毫無問題的一流音樂家（Georgia Anne Muldrow）。特別是第一曲由傳奇碎拍大師 Kaidi Tatham 操刀的〈La Cumbia Me Está Llamando〉，以及最後一曲由狂人鼓手 Moses Boyd 操刀的〈Pace〉，都是靈性光輝十足的優美作品。本張專輯也驗證了倫敦爵士與電子音樂場景交融，創造出新的藝術結晶。
