布魯克林藝術家 Brian Blomerth 新書《Brian Blomerth's Bicycle Day》故事取材自 1943 年的真實事件，被譽為從繪以來最具野心的作品。

1943 年 4 月 19 日下午，瑞士化學家 Albert Hofmann 安排自己微量服入一款從黑麥上的麥角菌合成而來的「麥角酸二乙醯胺」衍生物，親身實驗他的醫藥價值。一段時間後，他的感觀開始變化，無法專注工作，於是他趕緊決定騎單車回家，在這個路途上，他歷經了史無前例的迷幻體驗，周遭的一切或扭曲或變形，彷彿都出現生命，活了起來。這帖無心合成出來的藥品就是後來廣為人知的啟靈迷幻藥 LSD，而這一天也被稱作了「 Bicycle Day 單車日」，用來紀念歷史上第一個 LSD 之旅。Brain Blomerth 將此一真實事件改編，深入細究許多文獻報導或細節，大放異想，結合熟練的作繪技巧、且一貫飽滿豔麗的特藝用色風格，無論創意或成品都令人十分驚嘆。
